Penjaringan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Unit, North Jakarta has prepared various pumps to anticipate inundation, especially when heavy rain falls.

Penjaringan Sub-district SDA Unit Head, Pendi conveyed, his side prepared mobile pump, floating pumps, and alkon pumps.

"We do regular check and maintenance once a week to ensure it is in a good condition and ready to use," he mentioned, Monday (2/15).

In detail, there were 3 floating pumps with capacity 20 liters per second and 50 liters per second. Then, 2 alkon pumps and 2 jet fire pump with capacity 35 liters per second and 11 liters per second. As well a 1 mobile pump with capacity 250 liters per second.

So far, he continued, there are two locations prone to inundation in Penjaringan Sub-district, namely Muara Angke and Kapuk Muara.

"In order to anticipate inundation in those locations, we regularly dredge the channels and drain the water using pumps," he explained.
